Preparation of Nanoparticle-Loaded Microbubbles via an Electrohydrodynamic Atomization Process

Microbubbles have been widely used in many research fields due to their outstanding physicochemical properties and unique structural characteristics, especially as ultrasonic contrast agents drug delivery carriers. However, the stability of conventional microbubbles is generally poor, which limits development applications. Loading nanoparticle has great potential enhancing microbubbles. This paper reports for first time feasibility one-step preparation nanoparticle-loaded by coaxial electrohydrodynamic atomization. Bovine serum albumin (BSA) was model material bubble shell layer study effect loading nanoparticles on The results show that concentration a significant impact microbubbles, an appropriate amount helpful improving also with size distribution range 120–200 μm can be prepared under optimal conditions.
